Privacy Policy

lên-plan is a personal travel planner, run as a personal project. This page explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your information is never sold.
- Your trips are private to your account unless you share them.
- As a guest, your trips are saved only in your browser.
Information we collect
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password or access any other Google data.
What you enter in the app: trips, destinations, itinerary items, bookings, expenses, checklists and notes, and the optional home and passport countries in your travel details.
If you use the app as a guest, no account is created. Everything you enter is stored only in your browser on your device and is not sent to our database.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to show your trips to you, sync them between your devices, and let the people you share a trip with see it. Your travel details are used to suggest checklist items, such as a passport and visa for trips abroad.
Where it is stored
- Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) stores your account and the trips of signed-in users.
- Your browser keeps a cached copy of your trips for speed and offline use, plus preferences such as your language. Signing out clears the cached trips. Guest trips are stored only here.
- Cloudflare delivers the website. Like any web host, it may briefly keep standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Services that receive data from your browser
Some features look things up directly from your browser using free public services. They receive only what the lookup needs, never your account details:

Each service handles these requests under its own privacy policy. The Gemini features only open gemini.google.com with text you choose to copy there; lên-plan does not send anything to Gemini itself.
Sharing
- Sharing with people: when you share a trip by email, that person's email address is stored with the trip, and they can see the trip, your name and your email address.
- Public links: if you turn on a public link, anyone with the link can view that trip without signing in. You can turn it off at any time.
We do not share your information with anyone else, except where required by law.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Your data is kept until you delete it.
- You can delete any trip in the app, which also deletes its itinerary, expenses and checklist.
- Guests can delete all trips on a device from Settings → Delete trips on this device, or by clearing the site's data in the browser.
- To delete your account and everything stored with it, email us (below). We will do so within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us. You can also export any trip from the app.
Cookies and local storage
lên-plan does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's storage only to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and cache your trips.
Children
lên-plan is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
